The worrying in itself is more likely to be draining your energy rather than the ‘wrong…or bad’ food that you think that you are eating.
At Healthy Intuition, we offer services that help you think differently about your food choices and your body. We use a combination of assessment tools, counselling techniques and nutritional expertise to help you to throw away the rule book and start again.

'Tackling Eating Habits Together' Online Course
A 10 week online course that teaches the principles of intuitive eating. At the end of the 10 weeks you will have delved into your own personal relationship with food, learnt the theory behind intuitive eating, trialled some of the practical strategies that can help you change habits and will leave with a personal roadmap of how you can make the sustainable changes you need to make for you. You will have a fully developed plan, will understand your own food journey and will be well on your way to knowing how to change unhealthy habits that have kept you in a constant cycle of dieting for many years.
The course has a maximum of 8 people on it and is conducted in a confidential, safe and friendly manner. We ensure that all participants are comfortable to share information and there is no obligation to do so. If you simply want to listen and learn that is fine, equally if you want to get stuck right in, read all the resources and participate fully in the in course and homework tasks then you will complete the course feeling very confident about continuing your journey to a healthier relationship with food. Wherever you are on your journey, this is a great introduction to how you want to develop next.
Sometimes a more personal approach is needed – some 1-2-1 time to discuss privately your concerns around eating habits and behaviours.
Healthy Intuition offers 1-2-1 consultations to individuals and parents that are keen to explore intuitive eating as a non-diet approach to a healthy body and mind.
Consultations can be face-to-face (Staffordshire/Derbyshire area) or online (zoom) and are designed to be flexible around your needs and timetable.
We usually start with a 1 ½ hour consultation but then depending on your personal situation we discuss a plan to move you along your journey. I work around you, plan sessions that meet your needs whether that be further longer sessions or a series of shorter ½ hr sessions just to keep you on track.
We don’t use algorithms or fit you into a box. We just talk you through the process and provide the support you need at the time that you need it.
How long will it take for me to feel happier with my body weight?
We don’t use BMI or weight loss as a measure of progress. We prefer to use changes in eating behaviour and body satisfaction scores as more of an accurate reflection of success. After all, we all want to just feel good in our body and know that we are the healthiest version of ourselves that we can be right now.
Our courses and consultations use a compassionate approach and we really work on finding solutions that are personal to your eating history and your current lifestyle.
But in answer to the question, people vary in the time that they need support with eating habits. Some people are happy with the recommended advice after the initial consultation. Whereas others would like support for up to 3 months.
We usually recommend an initial consultation and 8 ½ hour follow up sessions but if you have already completed the ‘Tackling Eating Habits Together’ online course then this may be slightly less. This online course is an introduction to intuitive eating and an opportunity to join a community of people who are on the same journey as you.
